    upped the voltage to 1.5v and set the multiplier to 16. Booted fine, no BSOD. Failed prime95 test, errored out after 2 mins. I think I need better cooling, bigger HSF?

    I'm not sure I know what you mean? My FSB is at 200, and according to cpuz the ram is running at 389.3 x2 (dual channel) with a divider of 8. Should I adjust my ram settings or something? This is my first overclock, so if you can offer some advice to make my system more stable I'd appreciate it...

    I have that same board. Make sure you have the latest bios, at least FE. You can d'load that on the Gigabyte website. My 5000+ BE is running at 3.11 @ 1.4v stable with a multiplier of 15.5. You probably just need to experiment with upping the voltage, slowly. I'm using the default/auto settings...
