Is the system a custom build (did you assemble it) or was it prebuilt?

As asked earlier...what is the make and model of the device? With that info you can Google how to reset it.

Does the device even power on? Does anything appear on-screen? Any errors or warnings?

What is the actual make/model of your device? Restoring would likely NOT install the apps your school uses. That is still an issue.

What does the actual label on the back of the memory stick show for model number? It is certainly possible that the box and what was inside the box don't match.

Do you have the GPU now? If so, takes pictures of the front and back and post a link like you did before.

Agreed, address the issue at school properly. You are certainly not the first student to have this happen. By the way, how did you "brick" the device? And, is it working now?

Just FYSA, there are not a lot of Apple expertise at the hardware level in this community. Your best bet for this kind of technical issue would be the Apple forums. IIRC, those systems often had two D300s installed. If you remove one, I assume the synch issue goes away (if it is even possible)...

You would have to source the PCB from Cherry or another mouse. You might be able to bond/glue the broken area to stabilize the current PCB to keep from flexing. Was anything else damaged?

Have you updated your motherboard chipset and AMD video drivers since making this swap? Also, what is the make/model of your current PSU?

The pictures are not very clear. There does seem to be some discoloration on some pins. Have you tried installing this CPU? If so, in what motherboard (make/model)?
