    I tried all usb ports , multiple usb cables and disabled turning off power. None of these worked. Same symptom; SSD identified as being present for 1-3 minutes then no longer recognized as being present by system. Thank you for your suggestions.

When I place a 2TB or 4TB ssd in adapter, my software sees the drives but within 2-3 minutes the larger SSD's will no longer bee recognized.
