I didn't down-vote it (the opposite actually) but if whoever did do that had actually posted a reason they probably would have been banned for doing so. The razer is a bit excessively sharp on this forum.

There are good quality PSUs that are not 80+ certified. Me posting any specific brands here would get me banned or suspended.

I would get another PSU and see if it solves the issue. And then if it does RMA the other one. As other mentioned the higher quality the better for the one you replace it with.

How exactly are you supposed to inspect a CPU without opening the package? Your argument runs contrary to itself. For the record i've purchased a lot from Newegg and have been happy but this doesn't make sense.

If the upgrade is going to cost that much you might as well just get an playstation or xbox :). But RAM is pretty cheap, why not try that first?

It wasn't a swindling. The time and effort it takes to build a computer for someone else and trying to make a little profit- pretty much isn't worth it today... so it was more the other way around if you ask me :). And there are plenty of fine parts on your list - not sure why you would need to...

It wasn't a bad PSU. And it wasn't ignorance if I had twenty years experience with Coolmax PSUs without any real issues. In fact it was wisdom while others waste money.

Well i'm obviouisly note going to convince anyone on this forum. Haters are going to hate. But for others visiting this thread from outside: Give KDM a try. They are better than the naysayers say from my real world experience with bad power supplies. And Coolmax is great too. Wouldn't recommend...

Nope, coolmax is awesome. Used their PSU's for over 20 years and only had one die and it didn't hurt any other hardware. You just are not open enough to consider otherwise since you need to have a fancy brand name to feel ok.

They are not poor schmucks but people that see value that other people are too snobby to see.
