[SOLVED] Should i combine the two or buy a new one?

Most likely it would work fine. They are the same manufacturer - and i've mixed different manufacturers without issues. So if it was me I would try it.

[SOLVED] Mixing these two RAM types together

The conventional advice is that it is a bad idea - but I have mixed ram from different manufacturers on many builds without any issue. I think it will be fine. As which is best independently - it depends on which manufacturer is considered better.. I know the gskill name - haven't heard of the...

Question Bad electricity causing input lag... :(

Well if you live in New England a lot of old houses have no grounds from when the wires were installed originally in the 60-70s. And electricians are not cheap. My house has a mix of old vs new wiring. I replaced my porch light recently and found it had no ground. Most of my upstairs sockets...

Question Bad electricity causing input lag... :(

Well, I have a old house that has some funny old fashioned wiring and had two PCs that kept doing strange things on the same electrical circuit.. and like you assumed it was "bad wiring". But I recently replaced the PSU in my main rig and it solved all the issues.. and I will likewise be doing...

[SOLVED] PSU High-Frequency Noise that has been steadily worsened

I didn't down-vote it (the opposite actually) but if whoever did do that had actually posted a reason they probably would have been banned for doing so. The razer is a bit excessively sharp on this forum.

[SOLVED] Best PSUs that are not 80+

There are good quality PSUs that are not 80+ certified. Me posting any specific brands here would get me banned or suspended.

[SOLVED] PSU High-Frequency Noise that has been steadily worsened

I would get another PSU and see if it solves the issue. And then if it does RMA the other one. As other mentioned the higher quality the better for the one you replace it with.

    Don't shop newegg

How exactly are you supposed to inspect a CPU without opening the package? Your argument runs contrary to itself. For the record i've purchased a lot from Newegg and have been happy but this doesn't make sense.

Question CPU BOTTLENECK? I need help.

If the upgrade is going to cost that much you might as well just get an playstation or xbox :). But RAM is pretty cheap, why not try that first?

Was my dad swindled when he purchased my PC?

It wasn't a swindling. The time and effort it takes to build a computer for someone else and trying to make a little profit- pretty much isn't worth it today... so it was more the other way around if you ask me :). And there are plenty of fine parts on your list - not sure why you would need to...

And they sell a lot of so called <Mod Edit> with no issues. Those issues are being made up in your head.

    KDM Power Supplies are good

It wasn't a bad PSU. And it wasn't ignorance if I had twenty years experience with Coolmax PSUs without any real issues. In fact it was wisdom while others waste money.

    KDM Power Supplies are good

Well i'm obviouisly note going to convince anyone on this forum. Haters are going to hate. But for others visiting this thread from outside: Give KDM a try. They are better than the naysayers say from my real world experience with bad power supplies. And Coolmax is great too. Wouldn't recommend...

    KDM Power Supplies are good

Nope, coolmax is awesome. Used their PSU's for over 20 years and only had one die and it didn't hurt any other hardware. You just are not open enough to consider otherwise since you need to have a fancy brand name to feel ok.

    KDM Power Supplies are good

They are not poor schmucks but people that see value that other people are too snobby to see.
