    Broadwell 5775C with Windows7 (and "SP2")

It's probably just subtle driver/optimization differences, better scheduling, improved core leveling, etc features implemented with Windows 10. Not a huge improvement but probably noticeable. Don't worry, it's perfectly natural.

Discussion AMD Ryzen MegaThread! FAQ and Resources

Just speculating, there's a chance that AMD will fab CPUs on a different process from another foundry. Anand says that "Under this new agreement, AMD has been granted a “limited waiver” to work with other foundries “with respect to certain products in the 14nm and 7nm technology nodes.” As a...

    Dual PC Mixer setup

Well, you pull the software from here: http://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Mixers/Analog-Mixers/Q1202USB/p/P0ALQ/downloads After that, you just need to plug it in to your PC via the audio and USB connection, and you'll have software control over the board.

What is the mixer board that you have? They can vary significantly.

    Synology NAS vs Home Server

If you only have gigabit ethernet, that is easily the bottleneck. Gigabit ethernet can only push about 60-70MB/s under good conditions. That's about what two modern hard drives will give you, and those 8TB ones will saturate with even one drive. So I'd go with your own server, and run 10gbit...

Actually, the socket differences from the last few years are the exception to the norm. If they keep up their cross socket compatibility, then it'll be awesome.

Yeah. Although from the sounds of things AMD is building up a reserve, it's very likely that the first brief while there will be major price hikes.

Intel core i7 2630qm vs newer CPU's for virtualization

You might be okay. But unless you need the portability, I usually recommend picking up a rackmount server like a Dell Rx10 or a HP DL360 G6/7 for virtualization work. Laptops are a bit constrained for hevay duty work by their RAM. Just put ESXi on the server and you're set with a larger feature...

A newbie's pc, is it good?

I would get a larger hard drive (3TB is actually about the best price/GB). I'd also get a 144hz 1440p monitor if you actually want to use a 1080. A RX 480 can do 1080p. The 1080 is a waste if you're just doing 1080p.

    Building a compact PC/Steam box.

There aren't any mini-ITX boards that support that chip, though. You'd have to go with a mATX board instead, which might be a limiting factor.

Why graphics card are more expensive than a CPU ?

Well, first of all, they can be priced that high. Intel could price their i7 at $600, but because they mainly sell to OEMs they go lower. NVIDIA can sell stuff for a lot more. And when you get down to it, GPUs are more expensive. A GTX 1080 has more transistors, plus high priced RAM and a...
