    What country are you from and what is your budget for a graphics card? I think the GTX 1060 might be a good alternative, and maybe it's the best option if price is right.

    Check the temps when you are running idle whith a temperature monitor like this one: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ Your fan might have broken down, in that case the laptop shuts down automatically to prevent heat damage.

    It is an dedicated graphics card but you don't have a slot since it is integrated in the motherboard. So you can't swap the graphics card in your laptop.

    Both are decent boards, most folks will go for the ASUS though since the quality controll is better? I don't have much experience with the quality controll but spec wise they are both great boards. If colour scheme matters a lot for you then get the MSI board.
