Should I adjust fan speed, or will they be set to max by default?

My temps are better after I configured fan speeds, but I'm trying to figure out why there's such a huge discrepancy in temps between the two programs. Right now MSI Afterburner says my cores are ~34c. System Information Viewer reports a CPU temp of 23c.

Should I adjust fan speed, or will they be set to max by default?

I've installed system information viewer/app center for my gigabyte motherboard, and there's a Smart Fan system that will let me dictate what speed the fan should run based on CPU temperature, similar to what MSI Afterburner lets you do with your GPU. For reference, I have a stock speed i5 4670k...

    CPU cools down too slowly?

I'm experiencing an interesting temperature-related issue with my new build. I've got a single EVGA ACX GTX 770, an an Intel i5 4670k with a Hyper 212 Evo cooler. I'm using MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner for temps because I like the on-screen display. Most of the time, my idle and load temperatures...

Safe to connect GPU to PSU with a single cable?

That makes me feel much better! Thank you. If you can overclock 780TIs in SLI with one cable each my 770 shouldn't have any trouble.

Safe to connect GPU to PSU with a single cable?

The instruction manual for the GTX 770 says little more than "the card to the power supply," I think they would've mentioned if you needed two cables to do it. I'd also like to think that, as the GPU has already spent somewhere between 4 and 10 hours under heavy load, if something was going to...

Safe to connect GPU to PSU with a single cable?

Thank you. I've asked in a few places online and I have received two types of answers: "yeah that'll be totally fine" and "your PSU is going to explode and/or catch fire." (and one person said "it will be too many amps for the PSU" but they provided no other information and I'm not sure what...

Safe to connect GPU to PSU with a single cable?

Hey guys, I've got a GPU/PSU question. I've seen GPUs connected to PSUs two basic ways: with two separate cables going into the PSU, and with one that splits [right and left on the amazing graphic I made, respectively]. GRAPHIC: http://postimg.org/image/7ad6hichl/[ I didn't have two cables...
