I agree with rvilkman, get the k model and the samsung EVO. I have two PCs with SSDs one has Kingston and one has the Samsung EVO. The samsung performs noticeability better. I'd also wait a few weeks for the non-reference 290, which will run less hot, noisy, and have more overclocking potential.

Is a 4770k at 1.2v 4.2ghz with a h100i cooler hitting temps of around 70-73c prime95 ok? I haven't tried lowering the voltage yet, should I give it a go or leave and be happy? :p Thanks.
