980Ti driver crashes at stock clocks

Well I got an email back from Scan this morning about it and I'll see what they say. If I can fix my problem without an RMA, then grand, Scan RMA's have been a bit of a headache for me in the past, I sent back an i3 once that was completely dead, and they sent it back to me saying it worked just...

980Ti driver crashes at stock clocks

Are there any log files or crash dumps that would tell me why it's happening? Maybe I just got a super lucky run using it on the other PC for it to not crash?

980Ti driver crashes at stock clocks

Checked and the BIOS is on its newest version. I even downclocked my CPU to 1.6GHz to make super sure I'm no where near power draw limits and it still crashed, though it did take alot longer :( What the hell do I do?

980Ti driver crashes at stock clocks

I got a MSI Gaming 6G 980Ti and it keeps getting the 'Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered' notification. I've been (trying to) play GTA 5 mostly and it crashes about once every half hour, I'm not sure about other games but it did also crash in BFBC2 at stock...

No POST with H81 mobo and 4590

It's just one of those Asus 144Hz monitors, I didn't try it yet with a different display or input yet but I'll try that for sure.

No POST with H81 mobo and 4590

I'm pretty sure I had the monitor and everything set up right, but it can't hurt to check again I suppose. I was too afraid to put a card in the system incase it caused damage to working components. I sadly don't have access to an original Haswell chip, is the only way of updating it to do the...

    3D or >1080p monitor?

AMD 3D is useless, don't waste your time with it. Theres zero community support, and even the Nvidia side is drifting off as DX11 games are much more difficult to patch. 3D is done.

    1080P on 1440P or 4k Monitor

I cant say about 4k, but 1080p on a 1440p display looks like crap, blurry and jaggy. Way better to just run it at native 1440p and turn some graphics settings down if need be.
