Are you planning on going to college?

Removing recovery partition and shifting left.

Hey all, when I upgraded to an SSD i just did a simple clone of the drive to avoid complications. Performance has been everything I have herd of, however my Disk Management page is troublesome. http://i.imgur.com/h4b2y4u.png So what do I need to do in order to remove this R: and not only...

Running 3 Displays off a Radeon HD 7870

Nope you are correct. The Display port adapter needs to be active. You can check by going one DVI, and the DP, this should work. You need to spend a little extra and get the Active adapter. Sorry about that, I did the same thing with a 6950 :(

Something went wrong while formatting my USB stick, now I can't reach it at all.

Ok, From the box where I said to right click I can't find any context menu that allows me to "Format...". So the name shows up and it is aware of the size, does it list the size in the bottom half of the disk management screen as "unallocated"? A screenshot would be nice of exactly what you...

Something went wrong while formatting my USB stick, now I can't reach it at all.

So I think if you go into Disk Management (Create and Format Hard Disk Partitions Win7) on your computer, you should see an unformatted drive or something of the like. You can then format it from there if indeed it errored and removed all formatting and partitioning that was on the drive...

    pci-e 3.0 issues

Hey, do you have any updates to share? Just curious what you ended up having to do, and if you could verify that you could indeed use PCI3.0 on someone else's motherboard.

    2 x Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280X OC power supply

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1926983/power-supply-support-sapphire-radeon-280x-vapor.html This has been asked at least a couple of times. The only additional factor is your CPU. The answer in the link recommends an 850W or higher and provides good links.

    pci-e 3.0 issues

If I had to venture a guess I would say something is wrong with the motherboard, and that is assuming that you indeed are at the latest bios version. There is no reason that the integrated graphics would not work, it is simply failing to recognize it and initialize any Display adapters at that...

    pci-e 3.0 issues

Yes it is, however I did have to go into the bios and change a couple of things. rebooted and bam, there it was, so the tool is fine in recognizing what's going on. I'm kind of at a loss at this point, and I am by no means the best person on these boards to be talking about Bios/GPUs. As most...

    pci-e 3.0 issues

Quick question, in GPU-Z it does recognize that the card does want to use PCIe 3.0 right. it should say "PCI-E 3.0 x16 @x16 2.0". If it says "PCI-E X.0 x16 @x16 1.1" then fire up the render test in the '?' next to the field, this will allow you to stress the card and it should bump itself up...

    pci-e 3.0 issues

Sorry for not assuming a new account made yesterday knows everything about computers, a simple yes would suffice. Answer the first question that cklaubur asked. (Are you using any other PCI-E slots)

    pci-e 3.0 issues

To verify, the card is indeed in the "top" PCIe slot correct? Labeled: "(PCIEX16)"

    Using 2 DVI and 1 HDMI Radeon R9 290

Apparently the new board solves this for us: Source - http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Powercolor/R9_290X_OC/3.html -Brief- Display connectivity options include two DVI ports, one HDMI port, and one DisplayPort. You may use all outputs at the same time, so triple-monitor surround gaming is...

Why doesn't my Xbox 360 controller connect to my PC wireless adapter

Hey Guy, I had the same issue. Go through and read some of the reviews, they give you step by step guides on how to get it working. It's fairly easy once you have the driver and set it up properly. More specifically, these are (more or less) the steps I took... There is also a Win7 install...

    Using 2 DVI and 1 HDMI Radeon R9 290

Thanks for the help. Hopefully someone comes along with this same card and config. I have also posted on the AMD forums and will update here if there is a "breakthrough". Thanks again!
