Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

Speaking of voltage, the CL14 sticks I was looking at use 1.45V. Is that safe? My current Flare X use 1.35V. There is a Trident Z Neo C kit that uses 1.35V but it's CL 16-19-19-39. A lot cheaper too, half the price of the 14-15-15-35 version, and cheaper than the Ripjaws I was looking at. I...

Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

I have programs like a browser, media player and an image editor, open when I play, so that's social media/forums, maybe some music and editing a few screenshots. Nothing too heavy, I guess. No video editing. Modern games want more RAM and VRAM than they used to, but 32GB maybe is the sweet spot...

Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

Thanks! I have looked around but the only 64GB kit I can find in Sweden is a 4x16, so that's four sticks. the info for inZoi I read is: "RAM: Doubling the minimum requirement, 32 GB of RAM will ensure that your game runs seamlessly and enables extensive multitasking."...

Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

That's good info, thanks. I will think about it, and also check for reviews of other brands (that have 64GB kits). I sometimes take chances, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

The mobo manual says "When enabling Dual Channel mode with two or four memory modules, it is recommended that memory of the same capacity, brand, speed, and chips be used." I don't see why I should doubt that that is the case if I buy two kits of RAM from the same batch?

Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

I have a 5900X. I want good RAM because of the upcoming big life simulator games. (and maybe other games I find interesting). I have 16GB now, G.Skill FlareX 3200 CL14. 32GB is recommended for games like InZOI, but I want some headroom (and be able to keep other applications running at the same...

Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

I hope "matched" means, same model with the same components, and not that they test them individually for the slightest sample variatiosn and then carefully put the kits together like some extreme jewlelers.

Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

There are no 4x16 or 2x32 kits of these. I like G.Skill, and the alternatives would be Corsair or Kingston, and they are CL18... :(

Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

That makes sense. I found G.Skill's QVL and there is says that my mobo is supported, so I think I don't have to worry anymore. Am I right that I can buy two kits of the same model and get 64GB? That shouldn't be like mixing timings or brands.

Question Is it safe to use RAM that isn't on the Qualified Vendors List?

I have a Gigabyte Aorus Elite motherboard, and I'm interested in the low latency G.Skill 3600MHz CL14 Ripjaws V (F4-3600C14D-32GVK) or the more expensive version Trident Z (F4-3600C14D-32GTZR). The are both optimised for AMD, but neither are on Gigabytes QVL. They were both released in 2020, and...

Question Do Dell Alienware monitors show the alien logo when turned on?

@Lutfij @JohnBonhamsGhost Thanks. I didn't mention any specific model because I haven't made a list of interesting monitors yet, but I'm thinking of getting a new 27 Inch 1440p IPS gaming monitor maybe later this year. The reason I asked about the alien face/skull is a bit ridiculous to some...

Do the Dell Alienware monitors show the alien face logo when turned on like on the images used in the marketing?

[SOLVED] No video if GPU inserted ?

So you inserted the card in the slot, connected the power cable from the PSU to it and plugged in the cable from the monitor to the back of the card, and you get no signal? Sometimes people forget to move the monitor cable from the motherboard's onboard graphics to the separate graphics card.

Question 2k gaming at high FPS versus 4k at lower FPS ?

If you are going to use more than one monitor your graphics card will have to do more work, so if you have a 4K plus two 1080p monitors the FPS in games will be even lower. But you could play at low settings or play at lower resolution. Not sure it it's worth it, but it's up to you. Also...
