So there's no benafit from adding a second 285 to a q9550s or an x4 965 be ?? I get a good performance boost from my second gtx280 with my q9650 @ 4 gz

only by trying them can you tell for sure if they will be stable. I had bad luck with kingston value ram in the past.

If you don't mind a little noise the ultra chilltec thermo electric cooler runs my q9650 around 38c to 75c (75c running prime95) overclocked to 4.125ghz.

I have a thermal electric and I got a q9650 up to 4ghz with it max temp with prime 95 running was 75c (speedfan). Without turning off any cpu features. Befor that I had an arctic cooler pro7 cpu was at 3.6 ghz and prime95 would go past 80c in about a second and I would shut it down.

How much ram do you have and what speed is it? I had a problem like that when i ran a 4800 x2 939 slot 4 gigs of ram at 433mhz and a 8800gtx on win xp but only in a couple of games. I'm sure now that it was the ram wasn't fast enough.

viewsonic vx2640w 3ms 1080p i think its 25.5" its great for gaming and cheap for the rez and speed.

if clearing the cmos doesn't work then your memory and or your motherboard could be damaged. sometimes the power supply can cause problems like that too.

ati 4000 with havok and an add on agiea card. nvidia dead ! or not....

I think If you get the ageia card and an ati 4000 video card you will have it all. I already have the ageia card so i'm half way there right?
