R9 280x getting low FPS and low GPU usage? [4790k, no bottleneck]

I figured out the problem - the clock speed was dropping randomly. I returned it to stock settings and it worked fine. I'm not sure why that is. Also VSync doesn't work perfectly.

R9 280x getting low FPS and low GPU usage? [4790k, no bottleneck]

Okay. I've reinstalled to Windows 8.1 and to Windows 7 - installed AMD's latest recommended drivers twice and still I get the same result. I run Tomb Raider's benchmark and I get a really low minimum FPS http://i.imgur.com/9J9QCLj.jpg , which always indicates something is wrong. I used to run...

R9 280x getting low FPS and low GPU usage? [4790k, no bottleneck]

I think so. There seems to be others who have had this problem too, I think it's software related.

R9 280x getting low FPS and low GPU usage? [4790k, no bottleneck]

I've just tested lowering the settings. I still get drops surprisingly! Instead my GPU usage will now be 30-40% but the frame drops will still be there in demanding areas.

R9 280x getting low FPS and low GPU usage? [4790k, no bottleneck]

Hi there! I have an R9 280x at stock clocks, with a 4790k processor. I've recently tried playing Skyrim again and I'm getting frame drops in some areas to 50 fps - and this is completely unmodded Skyrim at max settings. I ran MSI Afterburner and noticed how my GPU usage is hovering around...

High 'Command Timeout' from S.M.A.R.T data? Will my hard drive fail soon?

I'm worried about my S.M.A.R.T data for two of my drives, they have been running a while now and I bought them second hand. I noticed the command timeout value is really high, I read up that this may be due to a poor PSU or a loose/oxidised SATA cable, I rechecked my cables and they were...

    I5 4670k 4.1Ghz at 1.09v - even at 800mhz idle it stays at 1.09v?

Thanks :) I got low 70s at 4.4Ghz using AIDA Extreme Stability. I had to up my voltage for 4.1Ghz to 1.10v from 1.09v after a BSOD in 4 hours. I think it's all fine now!

    I5 4670k 4.1Ghz at 1.09v - even at 800mhz idle it stays at 1.09v?

Also, would it be better to change the Turbo boost clocks to 4.1Ghz and leave the multiplier on auto or manually set the CPU multiplier to 4.1Ghz and turn off turbo boost? :)

    I5 4670k 4.1Ghz at 1.09v - even at 800mhz idle it stays at 1.09v?

I just finished overclocking this chip and my only problem now is that when I'm idling my Core speed drops to 800mhz but my core voltage is set to manual and stays at 1.088v. Is there any way to make it drop like it did on auto? My motherboard is the Gigabyte Z87-HD3. Turbo boost (disabled)...
