    Question Computer suddenly died ?

Am guessing that it's the PSU since that particular model from 1stplayer isn't good. Their steampunk models are a lot better. A new model from below tier list could possibly solve your issue completely. https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/

Build Complete Is my gaming build good ?

That is a great build right there. You should be good gaming at any resolution as long as you keep a close eye on your VRAM usage from time to time. It's a pretty good first time build. I suggest adding a Xbox Series X controller to it if you are just a casual gamer like me.

    Question Buying an RTX 3060 12GB in 2025 ?

If you don't care about RT features and prioritise VRAM, I suggest going with an AMD cards like the 9060XT which the poster above me suggested. 3060 is still a decent GPU if he is gaming at 1080p only.

    Question 24GB vs 16GB RAM ?

Yup, but the difference is smaller than you think thanks to Windows and Android improving their ram management systems over the years. Noticeably? Nope! The difference is quite small which is why I suggest saving that money and spending it on a higher model instead.

Discussion Why does no one here mention "Pre-owned" ?

Because used computer parts are usually unreliable. For example, you could get used 4090s for half of their original price which sounds like a good deal on paper, but they were probably used for mining or other hard-core wear and tear purposes due to which they wouldn't last long.

Question Why £1000 for a motherboard and 128GB of RAM ?

Good choice. That is like the only 5000 series GPU that genuinely impressed me and should serve him for 5 years or more depending on his requirements. Spend more on the GPU and less on other parts.

Question Why £1000 for a motherboard and 128GB of RAM ?

Holy moly! 128gb ram is seriously overkill. Am a proper gamer myself and 32gb ddr5 ram is sufficient for my requirements. £1k motherboard seems overkill too. £1k GPU makes perfect sense considering that he wants it to last for a long time.

[SOLVED] GPU temps reach 80C for less than 5 seconds, Is this normal ?

You are worrying too much. That temperature even if it's some sort of anamoly is perfectly fine since I have experience dealing with such cards reaching 80s regularly and never causing any issues.

Question How did I do with this build ?

I like everything in your build except for that processor. Should have gone with an AMD one like the Ryzen 5 7600X or the 7800X3D. Anyway, enjoy!

Question What CPU would pair well with a 5070 ti 16gb?

I recommend Ryzen 5 7600X. Why? Because it's an amazing bang for buck cpu which is more than enough for your gpu in most applications. Hardware Unboxed even made a great video recently comparing it to a 9800X3D.

News AI bubble is worse than the dot-com crash that erased trillions, economist warns — overvaluations could lead to catastrophic consequences

Regardless of whether the suspected AI bubble bursts or not, end result is that commoners will get screwed while the elites chill. Annoying never ending trend of our world sadly.

[SOLVED] CPU & GPU upgrade ?

Glad to hear that. The Asus 9060 XT 16GB is a superb value for money card at 1080p and 2k gaming which is pretty uncommon these days. How much did you get it for in your country if you don't mind me asking?

Build Advice I need help building my first PC.

Intel used to be amazing once upon a time, but not anymore. AMD cpus are some of the best in the market for all the use cases that you described and I am speaking from experience as a Ryzen 5 7600 user.

Build Advice I need help building my first PC.

Firstly, go AMD over Intel for the CPU. Secondly, go to an offline store and tell them to assemble the PC instead of buying them online and trying yourself. Thirdly, get the 9060 xt for double the vram if you don't really care about RT, DLSS, Frame gen etc.

[SOLVED] CPU & GPU upgrade ?

It could be a PSU issue or a corrupted BCD. Whatever the case, it's best if you get a professional to check in order to identify the source and resolve it appropriately.
