EVGA. Great warranty, great customer support! If you're not worried about it, Gigabyte windforce is solid for me!

Out of the 2, the 980 with 1 more GB of memory will be a better card for 1440p. This may seem not part of your choices, but have you looked at a R9 290 / 290x? They're pretty cheap now, and still has great 1440p performance.

I think a monitor would a solid choice to upgrade. You said you mostly play Diablo 3, and I think it's not that hard to run it with your current GPU. I would still keep the 7950, it's a solid card still. Yes, I would wait for free sync.

I did some more looking at PCpartpicker, and you guys have the 5960x for 1000$ We have it here for 1319$! That's crazy! It was 1000$ when I last saw it 2-3 weeks ago. And seriously? A 5820K is 300$ there? But don't x99 motherboards cost around the 200-400$ price point? But being only 20 years...

Holy crap! My local PC store has decided to start charging 299.99 for a i5 4690K, and 409.99 for the i7 4790K. WHILE, you guys are selling 4690k for 199.99 at micro center! WHAT?!?!?! A fx 8350 here costs 229.99! I really want to live in the US now. It sucks paying more :(

Well, bad news, my credit card info was copied, and was used all over the US. I had this thing for a year, and wow. Was anything hacked? Like steam, Origin, or some other service? Because the accounts I have all have 2 step verf system. Looks like I can't make any purchases for a week :(

The best place to check out, is at reddit /r/hardwareswap, like PCbuilder said. The people selling their stuff are highly verified. For a example, someone has a post, selling a GTX 580 ASUS for 65$ Amazon has a sale, a 512gb SSD from Crucial, the MX100 for 200$ :D I might jump for it.
