    Question Undervolting my 5800X

Okay so I came back with multiple tests and fiddling with PBO and CO Here's what I tried so far: I did as you suggested: set the PPT & EDC Set to 120, TDC Set to 80 ~ Ran cinebench or OCCT and still temperatures spike to 90 instantly. Used CO to set the preferred core to -15 and the 2nd best...

    Question Undervolting my 5800X

I'm bit new to using CO so if I were to start, then maybe start with values similar to yours for PBO, then afterwards, go with all cores Curve optimizer and go with -25 for example or should I go with favorite 2 cores with -15 or -20 and the rest at -30 or -25? Also ryzen master has...

    Question Undervolting my 5800X

How can I detect my favorite core? Should I stress test my cpu and see which is the highest clock speed core and detect the favorite and 2nd favorite(highest speed cores) ? If i turn off PBO, I believe I only get like 4.2ghz or something max clock speed which is far from the previous maximum...

    Question Undervolting my 5800X

I meant to ask about ECO mode in general, without using it with CO. From what I saw ECO mode sort of uses same technique as PBO but lowers everything, wattage, ampere ..etc so wouldnt this cut significant performance ?

    Question Undervolting my 5800X

Apologies, here are my specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8ghz base boost CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 A-RGB Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming Ram: 4x8 Corsair Vengeance (3200 Mhz) SSD/HDD: Got 2 Sata SSDs (256gb crucial, 1TB Crucial), 2TB HDD (Seagate), 2 NVMes (1 gen 3 XPG...

    Question Undervolting my 5800X

I have a problem with my chip basically, benchmarks or stress tests makes my 5800X reach 90°C constant as long as it is under load, even going to usage like 60% in cpu demanding games may make it reach that temperature in summer I have just bought an Arctic Freezer 3 AIO 2 days ago and nothing...

    Question Which is the better M.2 SSD - - - Lexar NM790 NVMe 2TB or Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB ?

You are right, I do sometimes tend to over think these types of things. But I'll have it logically then as WD is know to be reliable, efficient and not likely to switch the chips or controllers on this one and since the price is also the same as the crucial gen 3 then It seems reasonable to go...

    Question Which is the better M.2 SSD - - - Lexar NM790 NVMe 2TB or Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB ?

Exactly my thought, wouldn't you say the SN580 is equal in quality to Crucial P3? or higher?

    Question Which is the better M.2 SSD - - - Lexar NM790 NVMe 2TB or Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB ?

If a Gen4 SSD is the same price of its predecessor or atleast is (somewhat) higher in performance (since it is gen4) than the crucial, shouldnt I logically buy the higher generation or?

    Question Which is the better M.2 SSD - - - Lexar NM790 NVMe 2TB or Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB ?

I have been viewing these videos recently, and while I see no difference, the crucial P3 2TB is the same price or slightly higher (3 to 4$ higher) than the WD580 for example, and thus closer in price to Kingston NV3 ...etc based off of these prices : Crucial P3: 125$ WD580: 121$ Which do you...

    Question Which is the better M.2 SSD - - - Lexar NM790 NVMe 2TB or Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB ?

So what do you think about both tests conducted for both? or should I just go back to gen3 if there arent any major differences between gen3 and 4 (say Crucial P3 for example ?)

    Question Which is the better M.2 SSD - - - Lexar NM790 NVMe 2TB or Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB ?

Does lower write capacity affect games and performance? And So I shouldn't be worried by the SN580's slower sequential reads/writes like affecting shaders loading ...etc ? Edit: I dont know how much I should rely on these benchmarks but doesnt this show NV3 as a better SSD? Kingston NV3...

    Question Which is the better M.2 SSD - - - Lexar NM790 NVMe 2TB or Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB ?

Im sorry for asking but all i know about QLC or TLC is that they store bits or voltage in different ways, why would that mean that it is more reliable ?

    Question Which is the better M.2 SSD - - - Lexar NM790 NVMe 2TB or Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB ?

I forgot to mention this SSD, XPG GAMMIX S70 BLADE 2TB Which is also at the same price of the Lexar (151$) , what is your opinion on this as well?

    Question Which is the better M.2 SSD - - - Lexar NM790 NVMe 2TB or Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2TB ?

But in essence the sequential read/writes dont really affect shader loading as part of it ? It is how fast in benchmarks and other aspects of the storage itself? So Lexar is pretty much not the same and their controller parts may not be the best (since it is vague what they use). You mentioned...
