For gaming they are almost identical I will ONLY be gaming. Not wasting an extra 100 for 5 fps. I have seen gaming benchmarks where the 9700k and 9900k are around the exact same performance

Was first thinking about getting the 3800x but many people have told me that is silly to pair an almost 1900$CAD GPU with that cpu. Since I already have the 2080ti msi trio I believe the i7 9700k is a perfect choice because it's identical to the 9900k for less. I need help picking a cpu cooler...
