New problem: I'm stuck at 3840x2160 resolution now. I want to be able to change resolution in certain games, how can I do so?

I have a dell up2414q with a msi r9 270. In the AMD catalyst Control Center I can select the 4k resolution but at 30hz refresh rate. When I select 60hz it doesn't even allow me to select any desktop resolutions at all but rather 720p, 1080p, etc. I'm using the displayport also so not sure...
