Can vibration affect powered down/off external hard drive? My external hard drives are stored in my cabinet while on the other side of the wall my neighbor drilling his side of the wall to mount his TV with bracket and I felt my cabinet vibrates for about 5 minutes. Now I’m being paranoid that...

I'm more concern on accidental bumps, jolt, shake and vibration while I'm traveling. Maybe there will be a time I will forgot that I have a external hdd inside my bag and be careless because I'm enjoying.

Is external hdd still sensitive to vibration even if its powered down or non-operational?

Is it safe to travel with an external hard drive inside my back pack ?

If you delete something from hard drive, do you receive the exact same amount of space as the amount of space the deleted file occupied in the hard drive?

How about the magnets inside the drives? Will it do damage or wipe the data by stacking them together?

So it means I don't need to worry about the magnets inside the hard drives when stacking them?
