    I would do modular for the better cable management, even in a non windowed PC.

    Nvme is priced basically the same as SATA 2.5 ssd's these days so little point in getting a 2.5 if an Nvme slot is available. 2tb prices...

    You can go with a B650 chipset motherboard but you will need to have some sort of BIOS flashing tool on the motherboard like Q-Flash...
