If the PC stays on then you know it could be one of your parts that is causing the issue...so then you put in the HDD or SSD, see if it stays on. If it does then you put in the PCI cards one by one and test...once it shutsdown go back to the last part you installed and remove it again then you...

Unplug all cables, cards etc. Only leave power supply connected, CPU and RAM. Boot into bios. Leave it for a short time and see if it powers down. Push down on the case aswell. See if it powers down.

Do you have a UPS ? If you do run the power from the UPS rather...if there is a issue in the wiring of the house or wall plug the UPS will take this away....see how that work for you.

So your build has a nice CPU but I would suggest going 8x2GB ram that will give you dual channel for better performance. The PSU is going to work for this build if its a decent brand but for upgrades you will be limited to the connectors it has and usually they do not have much...

Well your RAM is still good. I would say see how they perform with the new CPU and GPU....if its not that great run a 16x4 kit....it will work out better. 32x4 is just way over priced

Weight or fitting wise it will not damage the motherboard. You as the user will need to make sure that the installation is done correctly and you don't damage the motherboard yourself.

Question is do you have 1 32GB chip ? See dual channeling the RAM gives you better performance...If you have limited money you can go 16x2 or 16x4...might work out cheaper than the 32GB.

Yes, you will have to upgrade the CPU for getting a better score but for performance on games the CPU is fine. The 1660 will be your let down regarding FPS on high end games. So for games like ac odyssey keep graphic settings at a fair 60 fps.
