    ASUS P5Q3 Motherboard, or?

Bare Bones here, but, ECS Elitegroup has solid boards - like the 945GCT-M/1333 which contains good Video, good LAN, good Audio, SATA, USB. Throw your Floppy and DVD in to a chassis and run with this $35 board. This is now slightly old, so you may find a better deal. I realize this is an old...

    New/Used LG DVD RW+-

Thank you so much for taking the time toease my worries. I sesnsed there was no threat, but better to know for sure. If I could, may I bother you with one more problem? It's no sweat if you don't reply, but, What do I do when I have put another unit together and do not have drivers to get to the...

    New/Used LG DVD RW+-

I have purchased a nice HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22LS50 ( LG ) and it works fine. I pull up Computer Icon to show me the mechanicals in my system and my drive shows ( bluebird ) with 6 files attached to it. I eject the drive and there is no disk. I am afraid of viruses, therefore I use a lot of...

    ECS GeForce6100M motherboard reboots

Your ahead of me. Just trying to help. It gave you a post once and went to Vista before shutting down? I've had this problem before and it turned out to be poor heat sink connection. I realize there are a million causes out there, but getting through post to Vista is a very good sign.

    ECS GeForce6100M motherboard reboots

Sorry, re-read your first message. Make sure your CPU Fan is working. That would kill your system and may soon kill your processor. Be very careful how long you leave it on with no fan. PLUG IN YOUR FAN.

    ECS GeForce6100M motherboard reboots

Hi, I just went to the Elitegroup website and found that your board is actually called GEForce6100sm-m. I downloaded your Manualand went to the Bios section and there are win files for various types of BIOS chips you could have. Have you tried resetting the Bios by either shorting the rtc pins...

    ECS GeForce6100M motherboard reboots

What do you mean by no floppy? If the Motherboard has the connector for a floppy, by all means put it in. They are invaluable for cheap money. I would never want to run without a floppy. But, you should be able to do a Bios upgrade across the network. Check your manual and get back to me on the...

newegg.com sucks! where should i buy instead?

Hi, I'm Dave, haven't logged on for a while. Noticed all the problems you've had with Newegg and wonder why you haven't given E-Bay a shot. I have about a 98% perfect rating and the prices are outstanding. If you haven't given this option a try, I might be able to talk you through some of the...

    Possible new build

Hi, I know its been a while since your post but I was just wondering where you went, as far as upgrade and how much it set you back. I'll bet you went with a killer system and didn't hold back. I may be interested in some of your older components if they're still around. See Ya.

    No power

Is it possible you've left the Bios Jumper in the wrong position. I've done this before and got a no start problem. Man, you got a weird problem, unless your case has a bump in the wrong place shorting out some pins.
