OC i7 8700k multipliers vs voltage

I'm new to overclocking and I don't really get the relation between multipliers vs voltage. I'm only on air cooling so I can't push it too much. I tried to put all cores to 5gHz (just to test) and it worked pretty good when 1 or 2 cores where active but after an hour of gaming it crashed...

60fps stable on 60hz VS unstable on 120hz

I just bought a i7-8700k with a gtx 1080. I have a good 1080p 60hz monitor bought 3 years ago. My new specs could push more than that but would I see the difference? My question is: is it best to have a stable 60 fps on a 60hz with everything maxed out or have occasional drops to 75-90 fps on a...

Msi z370-a pro vs msi gaming plus

I bought a i7-8700k and 2x8gb of corsair c15 3000mhz ddr4 and I can't see the difference between the msi z370-a pro and the msi gaming plus motherboards. They have a 10$ difference, is there one that I should prefere? Thanks

Will new cpu bottleneck future gpu?

I currently have a amd fx6100 cpu with a hd7970 gpu. I plan to build a bulky gaming machine in one year. Is it a good idea to buy now an intel 7700k (with new mb and ram) and wait to buy a 1000$ gpu next year or should I wait and buy all the components at once? With the new 6 cores 8th gen cpu...

    BIOS doesn't save boot sequence

I have a asus m5a97 motherboard and I bought a usb 3.0 HDD. My problem is that the PC tries to boot from the usb external hard drive by default when it is plugged in. I changed the boot order in the BIOS to set it back to my main hard drive but when I click save and reboot, the BIOS resets the...

    BIOS won't save boot sequence

Nope. Nothing works. I rebooted, removed, reinserted as you said but it still does the same. There is no bootable partition on the disk and it is not a conversion of an older system, it's a new Seagate USB back-up drive.

    BIOS won't save boot sequence

I just bought a new USB external drive that will always stay connected. The problem is, now my PC tries to boot from it from the start. I went to the BIOS and changed it back to my internal HDD as primary boot disk. I then press "save changes and exit" but, even if the BIOS confirms me that I...
