Hi, Here is my current hardware: core i5 4690 (boost 3.9ghz), gtx 1080ti, 16GB ram, acer 24' screen at 1200p. I play mostly AAA games, RPGs, actions games ( fallout, witcher, deus ex, super excited for anthem!) barely any shooters although BF1 gave me a few hours of fun. I like to take my time...

But isn't that video for 1080p, where CPU does make a difference? As you get into higher resolution the GPU becomes more important than the CPU.

The MG279Q is 650$ here. Also, I was hoping to get a gsync so that in a few years, even if the card is not enough to push 4K at high details, I would feel less stutter than without gsync. But then again, it all depends on how much a difference there is between 1200>1440 (with 144hz) and 1200>2160
