Question Green screen on boot (Windows 10) ?

No, not fiber HDMI. Got the length wrong, it's 8m IIRC. At least that's the longest the supplier provides. It is a shielded cable, The fact that I got a perfect picture when unplugging and plugging back in for 2-3 seconds before a green screen and that a quick alt tab fixed it would suggest...

Question Green screen on boot (Windows 10) ?

So I've been getting an issue which is really weird. I initially thought it was a problem with my TV as it already had issues however I've got a new TV and a new (second hand, the old one had an amp error) AVR. I run my PC into my TV (Sony Barvia OLED) via an AVR using HDMI. I've had some short...

Question Windows boots up to a black screen with system 32 cmd prompt after installing latest AMD graphics drivers.

I tried what you suggested however it doesn't seem to have any effect. Ms config is set to "selective startup" rather than "normal startup" and changing and restarting my PC simply reverts it back to "selective startup" from "normal startup" so this may well be the issue. I've not encountered...

Question Windows boots up to a black screen with system 32 cmd prompt after installing latest AMD graphics drivers.

So I installed the latest AMD graphics drivers so I could play Doom Eternal yesterday and when my PC boots up I get a blackscreen with a command prompt. Typing explorer.exe into the command prompt immediately brings up my desktop and my PC runs fine from then on. I just recently got an SSD and...

[SOLVED] New SSD for gaming load times. Should I also install Windows on it?

Yeah it was for the old drive. It took a long while, but now it can be accessed instantly whenever I want. I really, really appreciate the advice on installing OS to my SSD. There really is no way to properly benchmark it and the startup time benchmark is somewhat of a let down to how good an...

[SOLVED] New SSD for gaming load times. Should I also install Windows on it?

I got it working as can be seen in the above edit, however time will tell if there are any issues. The only problem I'm having right now is accessing "Users/<username>" in Windows explorer. It asks for admin rights, which I grant, then it proceeds to do the worlds longest green ribbon loading...

[SOLVED] New SSD for gaming load times. Should I also install Windows on it?

Edit: After several restarts and a blood sacrifice to the Microsoft God it went back to the "setting up windows" mode. After that I set up just like normal (or like the guide said, installation is much more streamlined (except for the 20 or so "do you want to send Microsoft your data" screens)...

[SOLVED] New SSD for gaming load times. Should I also install Windows on it?

Well, it's going to be a lot of work getting everything reinstalled onto the other drive. I had heard you could just go into programs and move one but naturally the new install of Windows won't detect them in programs so a reinstall will be necessary, as you said, I should have thought that one...

[SOLVED] New SSD for gaming load times. Should I also install Windows on it?

SSD is a Samsung 970 evo 1TB. My HDD is about 915gb full I don't really want to clone as I would have to meticulously delete a bunch of photos, some music and some video files along with other stuff like old save games and some junk which I really should get rid of to free up space though I...

[SOLVED] New SSD for gaming load times. Should I also install Windows on it?

So I got an NVMe SSD today, 1TB. Install was fine, however I realized getting windows onto it isn't a simple copy+paste (unless you want to add everything from your boot drive) so I haven't really done much with the SSD so far other than benchmarking it. I'll be using it primarily for games and...

How to fix a logical damaged USB drive! [RAW mode, non-accessable]

Sadly it hasn't worked for me. I think the drive might be bricked due to a failed format for use with a freeview box (as a drive to record to) I know it's an old thread; just letting you guys know that it doesn't seem to work in win10.

[SOLVED] Anyone know of a reasonably priced large (full ATX) case (less than £100, preferably less than £80)

@SR-71 Blackbird Thanks. I had been looking at that case. It seems like it's the part. CCL does some cheap full cases with nice RGB systems and lots of fans though they seem to be quite poorly constructed (e.g. A bunch of fans up front with a 1cm clearance between the glass and fans on the front...

[SOLVED] Anyone know of a reasonably priced large (full ATX) case (less than £100, preferably less than £80)

Just like the thread title says, I'm looking to upgrade my case as my Salman Z9 plus is quite cramped, the I/O shield has problems fitting and not all the screw headers line up with the.motherboard properly, so the motherboard only has 3 screws (yeah, I know) holding it as such I.Have the case...

[SOLVED] USB keyboards stopped working (windows 10 x64 home)

On Friday evening my G19 (which had been problematic) stopped working. However I managed to use a small wireless keyboard as backup thinking the G19 was broken; however I've checked and the G19 works fine in my BIOS. This evening I restarted my PC and the wireless USB one stopped working as well...
