    AIW Radeon, Retail vs OEM?

Get the retail version. Included software works very well. With this complicated a card, it's better to be safe than sorry.

    Motherboard or CPU?

Have you looked at the AGP memory setting in your BIOS. Sometimes there are options that list 16 MB, 64 MB...256 MB, etc. If the setting is too high (more memory than your system has), problems can occur. Just an idea.

    ATI Radeon

You need software to edit MPEG2 video which is not included with the Radeon 64MB card. The Radeon All-in-Wonder does come with video editting software (Ulead VideoStudio) along with other software specific to the cards capabilities. For the price difference between the 64 MB and AIW, you can...

If your needs are greater for TV viewing, video editing, etc, I would go with the Radeon AIW. It has a wide range of connections (composite and s-video in/out, cable, etc) that allow it to be configured to your TV/VCR in number ways including audio in capabilities using the breakout box. It...

    Fastest Processor supported

The P3-1000E Slot 1 processors (E = 100 mhz FSB) are out there (buy.com, econopc.com, etc.) and, since prices are down from the stratosphere, I nice little 500 mhz boost sounds good if my MB will permit it.

    BX/PIII 1000 Coppermine support ?

Based on the BIOS info on Asus' website, your board should handle the P3-850E with no problems using the lastest BIOS update. It even indicates that multipliers equal to or greater than 8.5x are supported. Here is the link: http://www.asus.com/Products/Motherboard/bios_slot1.html#p3b-f I...

I am hoping to make a quick upgrade to a 1 ghz P3 now that prices have dropped on intel processors. Anyone made this type of upgrade on a similar system.

    Fastest Processor supported

Bumping up seeking some assistance.... I have a Gateway Performance 500 purchased in 9/99. The motherboard is an Intel Jabil (aka Tabor III, part #4000510, WS440BX). I have flashed the BIOS with an update from Gateway's UK site that is more recent than the BIOS available in the US. Does...
