macbook and iphones pair well, being a student you should go for that, windows machines get slow and laggy over time with virus threats, macs arent immune but has better life as a overall product, build quality are great and performance is good to unless you want to do heavy gaming.

The phone checks all the boxes of being a daily driver with all power packed feature, no lag or so, decent battery, S-pen support, amazing camera and screen. All is lack is a ip68 water and dust resistant, but we all know, no one gonna try water damage phone by themselves, so just GO FOR IT.

Flash your phone with a third party software and then restore your backup from iTunes, you can perform a jailbreak later on.

S7 any day, better camera, better screen, expandable storage and overall a great looking phone. ALSO HAS HEADPHONE JACK.

I am myself a S7 Edge user, at first it use to be a bit difficult i hand, and I had accidental touches on the edge screen, but with time my hand is trained and i feel its the best without a case, for protection yes a case will come in handy and probably adjust your grip issues.

I guess that'd be good option to go for a S7 edge, refurbish phones do work well, Never go for LG, ends up with boot loop and battery issues, S7 Edge is still a competitive phone with feature that are worth paying for, so I would say put you money on that. I have used refurbish phones lately...
