    OK, if no one has any ideas how to debug this issue, I'm looking at replacing mobo/cpu/memory. Can anyone tell me if I would need to reinstall Windows if I replace that lot?

    I also replaced the CMOS battery, but it didn't change anything. Does anyone have any clues what exactly this flashing green LED means? I think it's the 'Standby power LED'. https://www.manualowl.com/m/Intel/DH77DF/Manual/299461?page=42 Maybe it blinking doesn't mean anything?
