Never mind, I got it working. It was as simple as it was to have both plugged in.

Is this possible? Because my microphone is having problems with the sound card it's plugged in to, but I really like the sound card for my headphones.. Can I make this possible by plugging the microphone into the on-board sound card? Does anyone know?
