I bought the 1000W Power Supply model no. N1000P-00. I installed it easily in my Dell Precision 690 and gives me a few extra connections which I found useful. It is also much quieter. Further the new power supply solved the problem I was having with Windows 8.1 64 Bit.

Will the 1000W N1000P-00 power supply work in a 690 which originally has a 750W power supply part number N750P-00? Or - how can I upgrade my 2007 Dell Precision 690 to a 1000W power supply? Thank you.
