Actually they do, but not in the sense that your system is failing behind in this case it would be your connection so the effect is pretty much similar they aren't the same thing, think like when you are downloading a file and playing an offline game the game wont be hit by the slow connection...

Srry but Corsair might be a T1 for ram but for PSUs i am not sure they have problems in their low end side that ranges from 130 to 90$ or less, on the higher prices one they might be better but i would suggest to check other AAA+ PSU from other vendors recommended here in the forums

It could also be the PSU or just the temps on the system (cpu ram or Video card) have you check the temps when you crash like that?
