Update: I remembered that I had downloaded Cities Skylines 2 on my Arch dual boot. Sure, its running the game using Proton and Vulkan, but I had no issues what so ever. Nothing crashed. This issue seems to be present on Windows only.
I had re-installed CS2 on Steam on Windows, but was still...
Guess I was wrong. According to CPUZ the BIOS is 2803, so yeah kind of outdated.
I doubt the temps are the issue here. Have never had issues with temps when gaming before. In fact I have been running Cities Skylines 2 just when it came out, on the same PC and setup. I've also used synthetic...
Hello,
I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong topic, but my best guess is that this is a GPU problem, so I'm posting here. Feel free to move it around.
Intro:
- I haven't been gaming for many months. I recently booted into Windows to update it (usually run Linux) and got an urge to game some...
Ok, well. Good news, I fixed the issue
I checked out my Reliability Monitor and found the issue listed there I decided to create MS Answers topic in hopes that some MS rep will know the hang signatures that the error log was giving me. Besides them suggesting sfc scan and reinstalling windows...
Ok, so I basically unplugged every peripheral except the keyboard and mouse, as well as unplugged my 2nd monitor and restarted the PC. The issue was still present.
I also decided to poke around a bit in the event viewer and found some interesting things.
First off, under Windows Logs ->...
Well, I have 2 M.2 drives. The WD Black is the one thats hard-mounted to my motherboard. The M.2 I was referring in the thread is an external one, so another one. Basically IcyBox aluminum external M.2 case with the drive in it.
I'll test booting without the external M.2 attached and let you know
If you are interested in my previous issue, here is the thread: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/see-whats-happening-during-boot.3717300/#post-22411811
In short, when booting, the PC would get stuck on the rotating circles, which happened only sometimes. Not sure if I have found a...
If you are referring to Nvidia updates in GeForce Experience, yes I update regularly.
Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
MSI RTX 3080 Trio
ASUS Strix B550-I Gaming
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz 64GB
WD Black SN850 1TB (Windows Install)
Alright, I tried the safe mode, but the issue still...
Hi
I'm here to report another issue I'm having with Windows. Recently, not sure exactly when, I noticed some strange behavior of my PC. The first thing I noticed was that when booting up, the user-sign-in stage (I have no password so it just automatically tries to log in) takes much longer than...
Alright, i think i have made a little discovery. The problem just happened (its random so it happens randomly) but when i was stuck in the loop i got the idea to try to unplug all the external USB connections i have. After unplugging my M.2 and HDD external drives, suddenly the PC got out of the...
I already found this on Google but it doesnt show anything new when it boots.
Reason i reinstalled windows was because the problem was happening very often and there was also an update i was unable to install (would just fail). I used USB to create windows media tool and wiped the SSD and did...
Hello.
Im having an occasional problem with my booting process. Sometimes my PC will get stuck on the boot screen (ASUS logo and the rotating dots, which happens after the "press key to enter bios" screen). This is the most bizarre problem I have encountered and i cannot seem to find the cause...
Update: I again decided to take out the motherboard and test it. When out of the case, it seems to turn on correctly. That said i still cannot get past the "Press Del" boot screen. Its just stuck there, and will not respond to any key inputs. I shorted CMOS again, that didnt help.
I also...
Well, i couldnt hold the GPU in place and also flex the motherboard and also push the power button. I didnt want to break the GPU accidentaly so i didnt even plug it in. But the GPU should be working.
I was playing games and using the PC normally the day before. The only issue was that i had...
