Slow PC performance, out of video memory.

Well that's the simple answer out. So it could be cpu, gpu, memory, motherboard, psu, hd. Try to narrow it down - do tests to stress different parts of the system: cpu - run some cpu burn test that doesn't use gpu and doesn't use much memory. memory - run mem check on it, run cpu test with big...

Slow PC performance, out of video memory.

It's certainly not video memory. Most likely cause is something overheating. That would cause it to go slow (clock down due to excess heat) and sometimes crash (overheated). Check temps of cpu + gpu, if one of them is very hot check fan is still working, and heatsink hasn't come loose.

AMD Rising: CPU And GPU Market Share Growing Rapidly

If you look at the steam survey (http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/) AMD gpu usage has fallen off a cliff. Looks like everyone is selling their gpu's to miners, and every new gpu is being bought by miners. *edit* I take that back, it's when they started to include China, obviously no one...

AMD Ryzen 5 2400G Tests: How Much Does Memory Impact Gaming?

Given the stupid cost of memory and the fact you need such good memory for these it does somewhat ruin the value proposition. Then there's the driver problems (unplayable stuttering in some games). You'd be better just saving up a few extra $$$ and getting a proper cpu and cheap discrete...

Best Graphics Cards for the Money (Archive)

You've basically got to buy "founders editions" direct from Nvidia now (well click notify and then buy fast when you get the notification) - ironically after all the hatred over Nvidia screwing people with overpriced founders edition cards they are now the cheapest cards you can buy.

How about we get rid of autoplay ads?

The auto play videos are really really annoying. I don't want to see some 10 minute unrelated video, I want to read the article. I like others have just blocked them - it's either that or I stop visiting your site altogether. On another note the other really irritating thing about toms is...

    HTC Vive Setup Procedure

Lol, that's a silly guide in that the only people that have a custom room just to put a vive in are professionals and they know perfectly well how to set it up. The actual setup of the vive is more along the lines of: 1) decide you fancy a play on the vive. 2) pick a room in the house you think...

AMD Vega Frontier Edition Now Available For Pre-Order With $999 Price Tag

$500 for a water cooled cooler, err what! Is it made out of solid gold or something?

Leap Motion's Interaction Engine Promises To Improve Hand-Grabbing VR Physics

Last time I tried it, it was so unreliable it was basically useless. Perhaps constantly announcing new stuff sounds good to the investors but it's going no where unless they can make the basics work properly.

    AMD Radeon RX 460 Review

A lot of cheer leading for a pretty disappointing card. Most sites have this behind a 950 - that's a previous gen card that seems to have about the same power usage (both it and 460 can run without a 6 pin, but most have one and run better with it), and slightly better performance, and about...

Live Planet VR Camera Has 16 Lenses; Preorder For $4,995

Not sure what this has to do with VR. It's just a 360 degree camera. Put a headset on displaying content of this and all you can do is rotate your head - you can't move around or do any of the stuff we'd really associate with VR. Does it even display in stereo - not properly I bet as that...

AMD Radeon RX 480 Designed To Bring VR To The Budget-Strapped Masses

And by that time the min spec for VR will be higher then the current 480 provides, and it will have been replaced by something faster anyway.

Nvidia Has Your Game-Ready Driver For 'Overwatch'

That's because there is only one console gpu to code for, where as there are lots of gpu's for pc's. The reason you get updates for each game is that to get the most performance the driver runs differently for each game. In the olden days that wasn't the case - there was one driver and it was...

Nvidia GTX 1080, 1070 'Founders Editions' Just Reference Cards

As I understand Founders edition is for boutique PC makers. They want a variant of the card that is: a) high quality so they don't get lots of problems and rma's (expensive). b) lasts for the entire lifetime of the card so they can qualify it once (expensive) and then be able to use it for as...
