Question PC won't boot past POST after installing AIO CPU cooler ?

Closing the loop on this. The socket in the motherboard ended up with some bent pins that could not be fixed. Expensive lesson learned. Next time I'll run it a little hot to get the paste to soften up.

Question PC won't boot past POST after installing AIO CPU cooler ?

good point I didn't think of.. I did have a wrist strap on when I pulled it out, but took it off for the photos. Probably should leave it on anytime I'm handling the CPU.

Question PC won't boot past POST after installing AIO CPU cooler ?

Thank you for that. I have cleaned off the cpu but wasn't able figure out the socket. I have since found a video that shows how to take the top off of the am4 socket. I'll do that later today and report back.

Question PC won't boot past POST after installing AIO CPU cooler ?

I was hoping the same thing and it would be an easy fix. I did check the manual and it lists fan2 as Ana optional connnection point for the water pump. I even tried connecting the original cooler fan to where it was connected before and it did not seem to help.

Question PC won't boot past POST after installing AIO CPU cooler ?

I have an ASROCK X570 MB with a Ryzen 7 CPU. While removing the stock CPU fan to replace it with a AIO watercooler the thermal paste was "glued" pretty solid to the CPU. While trying to loosen the thermal paste, the CPU pulled out of the socket. I did not unlock the CPU from the socket and ended...

How about a Foxconn 880GTS Factory Overclocked?

lol, gts cards have one pcie power plug and gtx has two Most I have seen use an adapter that takes two Molex connections into one that goes on the board...I ended up going with the eVGA. One has a lifetime warranty so I went with that one for $370.00

How about a Foxconn 880GTS Factory Overclocked?

Good points...Newegg is OOS on the Foxconn with none in until after the rebate, which makes it loose some of the alure. Wish the GTX's were a little cheaper...my new system build budget is maxed already :( Looks like the eVGA's only have a two year warranty. The Foxconn is 3 years. XFX cards...

How about a Foxconn 880GTS Factory Overclocked?

I was just looking at the Foxconn FV-N88SMBD2-ODOC GeForce 8800GTS factory overclocked. It looks pretty good according to the specs at Newegg I tried to read up on it, but there is not much information around. My concerns are whether it will run too hot, and/or be less reliable. Foxconn...

Motherboard to pair with an E6600?

Valtiel, you are right...The only difference is whats in the box with the board....straight from eVGA. "22-CK-NF68-TR * 1x HDD (ATA133) cable * 1x Floppy cable * 2x SATA data cables * 1x SATA power cables * 1+1 warranty 122-CK-NF68-AR * 1x USB 4 port bracket...

Motherboard to pair with an E6600?

of course! if they didn't I would be angry... @heyyou No thanks I think the 680i Chipset is better (for me) than the 975X. It was basically a choice between 650i, 680i, and P965 chipsets :) I meant the same quality of parts =)

Motherboard to pair with an E6600?

You suppose they use the same parts in both cards?

Motherboard to pair with an E6600?

According to the write up the only difference between that and the other EVGA is the warranty....the $249 one has a lifetime while this one has a 2 year one. How important is that? Dave

NVIDIA Graphics card -i680 or P965?

I have, but it only has 4 sata's and one esata (how many should I want?) I would like more than that for future add-on ability. Really, the popular 680i board is only $50 more than the 695's I am looking at. I am more interested in having a board with room to grow, rather than cutting edge...
