    Personally I use PS/2 keyboard on my main PC. I think they are more responsive and are definitely recognised during all stages of booting up any PC.

    are you sure it is not a video card problem? I understand that it is weird that you still saw these artifacts when connected to the PC via Teamviewer but perhaps that is normal. I had some similar problems in the past and swapping out the video card and installing a new one solved the problems.

    Does you system have the 32bit version (x86) or the 64 bit version (x64) of Windows 7? If it has the 32bit version then you will not see more memory than what you already see.
