Which 500w psu do you have?Is it running that system without any trouble? If you want to upgrade, consider an ssd, I don't think you need to upgrade anything else atm.

1) Dark rock pro 3 is a very good cooler. Also consider getting something from Noctua, they have very good silent performance. But the dark rock pro 3 is more than enough. 2) Pcpartpicker usually tells you, but you shouldn't really have any problem with a gtx 970, it's not a big card. Cheap...

270x won't run triple A titles at 60fps 1080p on ultra, m8. There isn't much to be done. This said, check your drivers and temps.

500w would do for this build and 750 would do for most future updates. It's not so much the wattage as the quality of the psu. There aren't that many reliable ones. What do you mean by hybrid gpu?

Mobo has an extremely small impact on gaming. Doesn't really matter at all, just get something durable and that has the options, software and ports you want. Allocate your money elsewhere.

Is there any chance you can try another psu? From a friend? Oh, and try running the pc without the gpu and see what happens.

Nope. Check the brand, please. Low quality psus aren't equiped to deal with r9 380.

I would also consider waiting till the next generation, 3770 shouldn't bottleneck either of those cards.

This is for gaming, I assume. Right now, the i7 4790 is pretty well priced and the i7 6700 isn't. Plus, the i7 4790 seems to be supperior right now.

That looks very good. You need a CPU cooler, though. Get something from noctua if you like silence.

I would say psu as something similar happened to me not so long enough. Is there any chance you could try using another PSU from a friend? I cannot think of any other way of knowing which one is the problem.

That looks very decent. Under 500, I don't think you can find anything better new. Try ebay or craigslist tho, you may be able to find something better. CPU and GPU are not the best for gaming but they'll do a good job. If not, you can always lower resolution and game at 1600x900.
