Workaround works. Rarely does my laptop do a restart even with hibernation off.
Temps show something.
Is it my thermal paste the problem? I use Artic MX-4. It showed "no electrical conductivity" in the description. That is why I use it.
I made a query a long time ago. I am posting this again because there wasn't a solution for it.
I have the Asus Vivobook Pro 16 (K6602VU). I made a thermal paste change myself. A small hiccup was noticed. After that, the laptop forcefully hibernates/restarts while gaming.
Tested with other...
It would be splendid if you found any solution regarding this matter. Thanks in advance!
The only workaround is turning the Hibernation off through PowerShell.
The laptop is ASUS Vivobook Pro 16 - K6602VU.
In the case of CPU fan connector, even if I had forgotten to plug it in the technician would've done it the second time while installing the whole new board.
Because, after 3rd time of complaint registering, they decided to replace the mobo.
I...
My laptop was running hot so I removed the screws, opened the backplate, and wiped the older paste with a soft tissue paper and IPA. I applied a little bit more because I had heard that "very little" paste would be more damaging than "too much" paste. I put everything back together and started...
UPDATE: I have found a workaround. I disabled Hibernation itself and now it is working fine. I know this isn't the solution but I have exhausted myself.
The last possible event/issue record responsible would be "Miniport Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2...
I wanted to check if it's main SSD the problem. I have removed my other one but it didn't fix anything.
It's still in warranty though, so my hopes aren't dead 🙂
Update: it's NOT power leak issue of my home. I tried different locations (not just my home). It happened again.
I noticed a lot of "Miniport Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2, {b44d9eae-46d2-405e-a175-4c9473d36748}, had event fatal error: The Miniport has failed a power transmission...
Looks like I found something on Windows Reliability Report. Can you let me know what it is?

I will surely update you on this thread. I tried both stabilizer and UPS and it still went to hibernation mode. So I suppose it's either brick or battery.
Thanks for the reply.
I forgot to add one more detail. I can play games on battery with no issues. It's when I'm plugged to wall and playing it. It happens before even reaching a 5 minutes mark.
The warranty issuers actually replaced my whole motherboard so I thought that even if I messed up...
UPDATE: I have tried AIDA and it showed ridiculous CPU temps (around 92). What should I turn off "hibernation"?
Is it possible due to faulty or leaky electric plugs? My house was recently renovated and few outlets are showing some leaks (e.g.: very dim bulb)
Thanks in advance.
Mostly FPS games like counterstrike globaloffensive (The thread is not allowing me to type the actual name)
I have searched my event viewer and found nothing in particular. Before reinstallation was done there used to be "Sleep reason: Application API" or something very similar. Now I cannot...
