    It's worth $318 as that is a good deal. At your resolution a stock gtx 670 is already a little overkill. However listing your other PC specs is probably a good idea. What's 10 more FPS when you're already getting 90-129 fps stock in BF3 (That's at 1920x1080 you may see more)..

    Why do people feel 60fps is so important?

    The human eye can see past 120fps. I personally notice a huge difference between 60fps and 30fps. My minimum is 45 in heavy environments (ex planetside 2). It's not a placebo effect 60fps makes a huge difference as well as 120fps.

    Mostly the Cooler. One is reference and one has some fancy non-reference cooler ( GIGABYTE).

    In my experience the only way to get rid of excessive tearing was to have only one monitor/tv connected.
