    Should I Step-up to 9800GTX?

Go for it.. you're getting around 10% more performance at least. Ok so the 9800GTX doesnt really kick the 8800GTX's ass by all that much, it's still one of the top performing cards out there and at an 'ok' price point. I think the release of this card has made the 8800GTS G92 a great priced...

    8800 GTS 512 Cooler

Here's my advice... if you know how to do it... do a BIOS flash. I've preprogrammed my cards fan to start at 40% and reach 100% spin speed once the GPU hits 75'c, and continue to cool at that speed until the card drops below 60'c. My card is overclocked to 750 / 1800 / 1000 and is perfectly...

AGP card for the "last hoorrah" before upgrading.

Go for a Sapphire HD2600XT.... great cards for the price... and you'll be happy with the peformance over your old card at the same time. Dont let the reviews worry you, I owned one, then two (crossfire) of the same card back in July 07 till October 07 and they performed nice considering the...

    8800 GTS 320 vs. 8800 GTX at 1680x1050

Trust me on this.. at the resolution you're using the GTS will be the best option... it overclocks nicely and does the job great... for a lower price than the GTX. I uses less power.... and overclocks superbly.

    Prices are eating me inside

Need help with 8800gts g92 in sli

if you know how to... why not BIOS flash both your cards with an identical overclock, which leaves a little headroom for improvement... It's what i've done... both my cards are now clocked at 750 / 1850 / 1000 ... makes quite a difference too.

    Best 'low profile' graphics card

i like all these people who buy these low profile cases who then complain they cant upgrade anything in them. thats the sacrifice you make when you buy something like that. make sure your power supply is upto the job too... 350W minimum for a 8600GT

    8800gt vs gts

After having owned both, I can say the 8800GTS is well worth the extra... Crysis runs so much smoother and it overclocks really nice too. GTS

    HELP CANT DECIDEE GPU

However well the 9800GTX performs in those benchmarks... I feel the £300 I have just spent on 2 8800GTS G92 cards for SLi was the better investment. Both GTS cards are getting BIOS flashed to 750 / 1850 / 2000 which should offer performance pretty close to the GTX's.

Mid Range Cards with 1GB of Memory?

    I feel bus and memory quantity always has a sweet spot.. for instance 256mb & 128bit 512mb & 256bit 768mb & 384bit 1024mb & 512bit 1GB 8800GTS cards would be interesting, especially for SLi. It'd be interesting to see high resolution differences between 8800GT 512mb / 1024mb cards when in...
