Trust me on this.. at the resolution you're using the GTS will be the best option... it overclocks nicely and does the job great... for a lower price than the GTX. I uses less power.... and overclocks superbly.

dont get a GTX... get a G92 GTS for much less.

They're cheap PSU's for a reason If you could get away with buying a cheap n nasty PSU for high quality components then we'd all be doing it wouldnt we?

if you know how to... why not BIOS flash both your cards with an identical overclock, which leaves a little headroom for improvement... It's what i've done... both my cards are now clocked at 750 / 1850 / 1000 ... makes quite a difference too.

i like all these people who buy these low profile cases who then complain they cant upgrade anything in them. thats the sacrifice you make when you buy something like that. make sure your power supply is upto the job too... 350W minimum for a 8600GT

After having owned both, I can say the 8800GTS is well worth the extra... Crysis runs so much smoother and it overclocks really nice too. GTS

However well the 9800GTX performs in those benchmarks... I feel the £300 I have just spent on 2 8800GTS G92 cards for SLi was the better investment. Both GTS cards are getting BIOS flashed to 750 / 1850 / 2000 which should offer performance pretty close to the GTX's.
