[SOLVED] Unstable factory overclock on my 6800 XT Red Dragon? Or what could it be?

Thanks for the help guys, I forgot to mark this as solved. But as I mentioned before, the solution was: "Anyway, I fixed it by using two different cables from the PSU. The card wasn't getting enough power for peaks." (or that's my best guess)

[SOLVED] Unstable factory overclock on my 6800 XT Red Dragon? Or what could it be?

Voltage to 2050???? Anyway, I fixed it by using two different cables from the PSU. The card wasn't getting enough power for peaks.

Question Can using a single PCIe power cable (pigtails) hard crash a PC to a black screen on a high TPD GPU?

Is there any kind of math I can do to calculate the likelihood of this?

Question Can using a single PCIe power cable (pigtails) hard crash a PC to a black screen on a high TPD GPU?

Hello, I have a 6800 XT Red Dragon that crashes in some instances under heavy load. I wonder if this can be due to the fact that I have a single cable coming from the PSU? PSU in question is an ASUS Rog Strix 750 W. I can't test daisy-chaining yet.

[SOLVED] Unstable factory overclock on my 6800 XT Red Dragon? Or what could it be?

The former GPU was ASUS 1080 Ti Rog Strix OC. Unsure about the age of the PSU, but it was launched in 2020, so I'm guessing under 3 years. They sell it with a 10-year warranty.

[SOLVED] Unstable factory overclock on my 6800 XT Red Dragon? Or what could it be?

Hello everyone, I recently got a 6800 XT Red Dragon, and on day one, it started hard crashing the PC in some applications, like TimeSpy and Metro Exodus. Some benchmarks it handled without crashing, like Heaven and Superposition. I hadn't overclocked the GPU. I went to check in AMD Adrenaline...

Question GPU only draws about 120 W during heavy load, is this normal?

I have enabled D.O.C.P/XMP, but I've turned it off for testing the crash and it still crashes. Yes, both of those connectors are attached. I have logged data from the crash with HWiNFO, and at the time of the crash CPU temp was 61C and GPU was 80C. I can show the logs if you want. Here's the...

Question GPU only draws about 120 W during heavy load, is this normal?

Hi, thanks for the response! I actually have uninstalled everything already with DDU, then got the latest drivers. It's a completely new build, and this problem has persisted from the beginning. The temperatures are completely fine when it crashes. What I'm most interested in right now if I...

Question GPU only draws about 120 W during heavy load, is this normal?

Hello So my GPU, RX 5700, only draws usually about 110 - 130 watts during gaming. In FurMark, it peaks at 115 watts. I'm wondering if this is normal, the RX 5700 apparently draws over 200 watts during heavy gaming, Tom's Hardware itself recorded a peak of 202 Watts in FurMark on a 1600x900...
