[SOLVED] RX 5700 runs at PCIe x2 3.0 instead of PCIe x16 3.0

I payed my friend a visit and plugged my GPU in his PC and it worked fine. Presumably caused by GPU sag damaging the main PCIe slot, which I had neither noticed before nor had known about until the whole problem arose. In the end, I just built a PC with everything new except the GPU, oh an...

[SOLVED] RX 5700 microstutters when something new happens in-game ?

It was my mobo. I checked in GPU-Z and CPU-Z, my GPU was working at bus interface PCIe x2 instead of PCIe x16. After I realized that, I payed my friend a visit and plugged my GPU in his PC and it worked fine. Presumably caused by GPU sag damaging the main PCIe slot, which I had neither noticed...

[SOLVED] RX 5700 runs at PCIe x2 3.0 instead of PCIe x16 3.0

Is it fine to update it if on the "CPU support list" on Asrock's website it says that P4.00 is the latest Validated BIOS version for my processor (and not "All")? I plugged my GPU in my friend's rig and it ran at x8 3.0, not x2 3.0 but not x16 3.0 either (his GPU ran at x16 like normal), even...

Hello everyone, My PC is 4 years old and had been working perfectly until about 5 months ago. All games I play started micro stuttering occasionally (while fps is the same), especially when something new happens. I've tried almost everything and nothing helped but I have a lead. CPU-Z shows...

Question Freeze Spikes/Short FPS Drops In Games

It may be called "Core Performance Boost" actually Yeah, changing the power plan to "High Performance" is mostly a myth and even if it does help a tiny bit, it's only a crutch Your freeze spikes happen mostly when something new loads/renders/happens for the first time, right? (like someone...

Question Freeze Spikes/Short FPS Drops In Games

Turbo Core dynamically adjusts the clock speed of the AMD CPU (similar to Intel's Turbo Boost) . Your CPU's base clock should be 3.6MHz but Turbo Core can pump it up to 4.4MHz when extra performance is required. Very simply put - dynamic overclocking. By reseating I mean physically remove and...

[SOLVED] RX 5700 microstutters when something new happens in-game ?

I highly doubt that, since even the most undemanding of games get the micro stutters from time to time. But thank you for the suggestion, I'll check again anyway

[SOLVED] RX 5700 microstutters when something new happens in-game ?

Yeah, I suspect that the SSD might be the issue, since the stutters usually happen when something new is loaded in a game, CrystalMark says it's fine but perhaps there is a deeper problem with it

[SOLVED] RX 5700 microstutters when something new happens in-game ?

I played Baldur's Gate 3 (a demanding and CPU-intensive game) a lot a month ago and that's when I noticed all my games started stuttering occasionally. I had low fps but the computer itself wasn't lagging or anything out of the ordinary. Tried playing without multitasking, same story Tried...
