I finally finished building my first computer, but when i try putting in the gpu (gtx 980) my monitor gets no signal, if i dont have the gpu installed then it works fine. Is there a solution to this in the bios settings? Specs: Z170 pro gaming 8 gb ddr4 2400 Gtx 980 i5 6600k

Im a new builder and just finished my new build, but whenever i have my gpu connected to the motherboard my monitor gets no signal, but if i dont have the gpu connected then my monitor does show everything. Is there something i have to do within the bios settings?

It was my first time building so i didn't know how delicate the pins were for the usb 3.0, but i ended up bending one of the pins all the way down and wondering if i can still use the usb ports that are on the motherboard or i cant ust a usb at all?
