News Samsung's 240Hz G4 Gaming Monitor on Sale for $219: Real Deals

Is this monitor a good choice if I don't play any FPS titles? I was looking for a g-sync monitor with decent brightness and this was one of the cheapest options I found. Do high refresh rates have any downsides?

Question Tweaking RAM settings after BIOS update and CPU upgrade ?

I tried all 3 BIOS versions that support my CPU and there wasn't any difference. I cleared the CMOS too. It's unstable with both RAM sticks in and it's unstable with 1 stick in XMP.

Question Tweaking RAM settings after BIOS update and CPU upgrade ?

I tried the 7.20 BIOS and everything was the same. I will try 7.40 tomorrow but I'm losing hope a bit. What are the chances the CPU has a bad memory controller? I could just get it refunded and look to buy another one, maybe a different model.

Question Tweaking RAM settings after BIOS update and CPU upgrade ?

I just loaded the XMP profile. The only thing I've done manually is try reducing the speed from 3000 to 2933. But I did check in the BIOS, as well as CPU-Z to make sure the speed and voltage were always what they were supposed to be. About the BIOS updates, do you think I should worry about the...

[SOLVED] Installing windows on a drive and then moving the drive to another PC

I'm assembling a PC for my mother out of old parts I no longer use. I shall refer to it as PC 2. PC 2 will get its HDD from my main PC (PC 1). For reasons that are irrelevant to my question, I want to install Windows on that HDD before I assemble PC 2. Like I said, the HDD is currently on PC 1...

If I underclock it, should I reduce the voltage too?

[SOLVED] Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

I'm not using an adapter. Haven't tried using a different cable, I can give it a shot I guess. I haven't overclocked the GPU but it has a factory overclock. No artifacts or anything of the sort. Windows is up to date. I installed Windows on a new SSD and I formatted the old SSD where Windows...

[SOLVED] Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

I did find some threads about this error, but it's different for me because it doesn't cause any visible crashes - PC doesn't crash, games don't crash. The only reason I even noticed the error is because it pops up as a hardware error in Reliability Monitor. Then I opened Event Viewer to see...

[SOLVED] New build freezes every few minutes

Thanks in part to @Lutfij and some advice from a friend, I have made a lot of progress. Turns out that free Windows 10 upgrade I had was only good for the first device you install it on. So after I bought the new parts, it wouldn't work for me, wouldn't install any updates after I did the fresh...

[SOLVED] New build freezes every few minutes

My PSU is indeed old (8 years) but I don't think it's having trouble supplying the GPU with power, because the card hasn't been under load as I haven't even tried running games yet, and I did test with my old GTX 660 which resulted in the same freezes. Also I tested the RX 5700 with my old build...

[SOLVED] New build freezes every few minutes

Edit: Read my third post first (it's much shorter too) Hello. First I'd like to say that the issue is urgent because I only have until tuesday to return my motherboard if that's needed. On friday I made a new build. It's the 2nd build I've assembled by myself and the 3rd I've picked all parts...
