Review Gigabyte X870E Aorus Master Review: Solid performance, fast M.2, ample USB

Confusing test mixing 7950x vs 9900x. More important data here would be a DDR5 6000 Mhz vs 8000 Mhz test to see if the improvements AMD claimed on DRAM speed support translates into tangible performance.

News AMD updates Zen 5 Ryzen 9000 benchmark comparisons to Intel chips — details Admin mode boosts, chipset driver fix

Zen5 is an architecture made primarily for server workloads. It has good game performance too but clearly it is not the best there. The fact that on Linux the performance uplift is sizable shows how bad the Windows scheduler/kernel is. Also games are generally poorly threaded wich explains why...

News Intel finally announces a solution for CPU crashing errors — claims elevated voltages are the root cause; fix coming by mid-August

The CPU microcode asks for certain voltages (power) based on clock speed and thermal headroom. High (or unlimited) values are board imposed "limits" not the actual values the CPU should be using. Intel already acknowledge this fact on the published statements. Reviews reporting high power...

News Intel finally announces a solution for CPU crashing errors — claims elevated voltages are the root cause; fix coming by mid-August

Nope, mine is the Asus TUF Z690. The Bios settings are the same as the ROG strix shown by Jay2Cents. BTW I gave one of my 12900K to my son. He uses it 90% for gaming and with the MB "AI overclock" function enabled. Zero issues.

News Intel finally announces a solution for CPU crashing errors — claims elevated voltages are the root cause; fix coming by mid-August

They said that to the reviewers when they where asked for those power values. My MB don't expose what you are saying. That configuration is way more buried on submenus. And the "enforce all limits" was in place. I have the same Asus that Jay2Cents made a tutorial on YT when this degradation...

News Intel finally announces a solution for CPU crashing errors — claims elevated voltages are the root cause; fix coming by mid-August

I readed and saw many reviews before buying the 13900k. The vendors (AMD too) said that those power values where fine and that the CPU would push it as high as possible while there was enough thermal headroom because the CPUs where designed that way and would not be any reliability problem. That...

News Intel finally announces a solution for CPU crashing errors — claims elevated voltages are the root cause; fix coming by mid-August

Default motherboard settings was configured before. All vendors doing the same. Same Z690 boards used on 12900K without degradation. That default Bios values where endorsed by Intel because they allowed the 13900k to be the performance king over AMD. All reviews and benchmarks sold the CPU with...

News Intel finally announces a solution for CPU crashing errors — claims elevated voltages are the root cause; fix coming by mid-August

Clearly the TheHeral guy is related to Intel. He is defending Intel's position with completely unreasonable arguments. Hi's that it is normal to get degradation on a frugal 9 month usage on a CPU. This is my first time happening (I am an IT guy and have been assembling my own systems from 1995)...

News Intel finally announces a solution for CPU crashing errors — claims elevated voltages are the root cause; fix coming by mid-August

Under your logic, all Intel customers need to purchase a new CPU every month to replace the degraded one?

News Intel finally announces a solution for CPU crashing errors — claims elevated voltages are the root cause; fix coming by mid-August

Maybe this Intel statement is just reputation damage control and they still don't know what the issue is or can't fix it? The time they had for diagnosis has been more than enough on my opinion for the resources that Intel has. Or it's just now that the issue is so big that they started to look...

[SOLVED] Unable to use RAM slots C1 et C2 on TRX40 Creator

Hi, I have the same problem as you. But on slots A1 and A2. I get the memory training error. I have tested 4 different memory brands. I discovered that problem always happens when the board is cold on the morning when you turn the PC on. But I believe it is a Bios problem. Looks like the cold...
