    To be honest the pre-built is better in this case since the only great thing about the custom one is the much better cpu, though it seems your cousin doesn't do anything cpu intensive so the pre-built will do everything you need for cheaper.

    I also uninstalled and reinstalled all of my sound drivers and restarted my pc.

    So I was using my earbuds on my pc and I got up and hit my foot on the cord it got pulled a bit and when I went back to use them they wouldn't work. I tried them on my phone and they work perfectly fine, did I break the audio jack on the motherboard?
