I just don't have it in my budget at this time, and I may wait two years to build a new system on intel's future architecture, so I may not actually crossfire this time around. As it stands, how does the system look? I decided on the Extreme4.

I actually meant to include that I was considering upgrading to the Extreme4 mobo for future crossfire. It has been mentioned also that the Extreme offers more ability for stable overclocking, and I wonder if there is much truth to this notion.

I put the other stick back in, so I have both of the original sticks in and it is running fine. I am going to simply assume one was knocked loose or simply wasn't snapped in right. Looks like this problem is solved.

I got a tech assistant on chat at the iBuyPower website. He said I should try removing a stick of ram. I did and now my computer is running just like it should. So it was a memory hookup I'm guessing, but now I don't know what to do about putting my other stick back in and fixing the problem.
