The question is more what CPU and PSU do you have ? Power and type of PCIe power connectors. Your motherboard is not a problem

It also depends of the resolution of your screen, If you use a relatively low resolution as FHD, the limiting factor will be your CPU. So stick with a 10xx or 16xx GPU. But if your monitor has a much higher resolution, the limiting factor would be the GPU, even with your CPU. So even an AMD...
