    Ok, so the story is this. My brother had a tower pc. Their cat jumped up on the desk. The cat knocked over some liquid that poured down the vents for the fans in the top of the tower. The liquid pooled in the bottom of the tower. Is this machine permanently dead? I can try to get more details...

    I opened up the case took out the video card.It was able to get the machine to POST. I put the video card back into the machine. I was operating fine for about 5 hours. Then both screens went black> I had to shut off the machine manually.Now the machine won't post again.

    I've: replaced the mobo cmos battery. swapped out two different sets of RAM. unplugged drives to reduce power supply use.

    I have a Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H motherboard. It has a i3(socket 1156) core intel processor, and a nvidia GTX 1060 graphics card. It won't post anything to the display anymore.If I can gather anymore information for you I will. My question is how do I get it to POST to the screen again?

    USB controller PCI card

    After careful examination of the machine. I discovered the usb port on the front had a bent piece touching the connectors of the usb port. I bent those peices away from there and now I can manage to boot into the OS.The only issue I have now is the machine won't fully post occasionally.

    My usb controller on my motherboard died. I was wondering if getting a USB PCI card would make the machine functional again.
