Just a small update: the RAM is definitely detected in the BIOS whichever the combination I put in. Windows does not boot when I have a combination of 4GB and 2GB (new and old). It's definitely (I think) a problem with Windows since it's detected by the BIOS but not Windows. Any ideas?
