Seeking a laptop where where display, keyboard, and battery life take precedent under $700.

Unless you have VERY good eyes it will not look bad, you might not even be able to discern a difference.

Seeking a laptop where where display, keyboard, and battery life take precedent under $700.

At that price range, good luck finding a 1080p display at 15.6 that also has good battery life. That resolution size paired with a 15.6 battery, which are fairly small, will give you 4-5 hours at most, with most around 3:30 hours. If you are willing to put the resolution down, or are willing to...

    Gaming laptop ideas?

Going to need to know some info so I know the basics for what to look for. What country do you live in? Do you want prebuilt or custom? Fancy aesthetics, such as lighting and paintjobs, or just simple? (P.S. simple for a gaming laptop is still pretty eye-catching)

4TB SSHD with 8GB SSD cache, or 3-4 1TB HDDS in RAID

My intentions for this rig is Gaming, downloading, streaming online content, maybe recording gameplay, and some editing and multimedia software. I am planning on buying a 1TB SSD for all my Steam games, a 120GB SSD for Windows OS disk, and the current drive setup in question is for downloads...

4TB SSHD with 8GB SSD cache, or 3-4 1TB HDDS in RAID

I am considering buying one of the options I listed above in the title and was wondering if 1 SSHD would give better performance than a few HDDS in RAID 0?

Newly installed 100 Mbps internet, wired get's advertised speeds but Wifi lags behind.

Also if I connect through a wired connection to either the router or the gateway I get the same speeds settling around 94-96 Mbps. Thought I should add that.

Newly installed 100 Mbps internet, wired get's advertised speeds but Wifi lags behind.

My parents recently decided they wanted better internet considering there are three intensive gamers/PTP downloaders in our house, and the speeds just weren't cutting it for a family of 6 with multiple devices each as well. So a couple of days ago the Telus guy came and set up our 100Mbps...

Best gaming laptop to buy (cost doesn't matter)

I have never dealt with Sager and really don't know what their products are like. I know for a fact that MSI and ASUS are good solid companies but if you live in Canada those are basically your only options unless you want to play an arm and a leg for shipping prices, sales taxes, and other...

Best gaming laptop to buy (cost doesn't matter)

If you have no price range whatsoever then I would recommend the MSI GT80 Titan, if you are planning on playing anything that is demanding or doing more with your computer then just Runescape. Otherwise I would look at some of the Asus ROG laptops and the MSI GP or low-end GT systems as you...

Is this laptop good for gaming?

The laptop you picked is pretty good. I myself have an ROG laptop from ASUS although it is an older model. For comparison and to show you real life performance I have a link to GPUboss.com below showing the comparison between my GPU, the 660m and the one in this laptop, the 965M...

Just built system, turns on and everything seems to be working properly but no video signal or any POST.

Thanks though, I only have a TV at the moment but I may be able to borrow a monitor or something until I can actually buy a good monitor. Thinking now that it could be the TV, thanks man I'll check tonight when I get home from work.

Oh okay. What I meant was where did you find information for what a2 actually means. I couldn't find it anywhere and although it's debatable I am not a complete idiot.

What do you mean by A2 is okay? Did you find a more indepth manual or something?

Just built system, turns on and everything seems to be working properly but no video signal or any POST.

I gradually bought the components for my computer over a couple months and just received the CPU. So having the last part I would need to actually turn on and boot up to the BIOS, I set all the cords up and put every part in its place. I second guessed myself so I went back and followed the...

Supported voltages for the MSI Z97 Gaming 9 ACK

I have looked around and can't seem to find the supported voltages for my motherboard. Basically every frequency of RAM is supported by my motherboard but I was wondering if there were any limits when voltage is concerned. I am thinking not but it would be nice to know for certain.
